What is Marketing Dashboard?

A marketing dashboard is a single view, usually a live report, that pulls key marketing numbers from tools like Google Analytics, ad platforms and your CRM, so you can see performance at a glance.

What to include

Start with the numbers tied to money: leads or sales, cost per lead or acquisition, revenue and marketing ROI. Then add supporting numbers by channel, like traffic, conversion rate and ad spend.

Common tools

Google's free Looker Studio connects to GA4, Google Ads and Search Console. Other tools pull in Meta, CRMs and spreadsheets. The best tool is the one your team will actually open.

Keep it focused

A dashboard with fifty charts gets ignored. Show a few headline numbers at the top, compare them with the previous period and target, and put details lower down.

Why Marketing Dashboard matters

When everyone looks at the same numbers, decisions get faster and arguments about whose report is right go away. A good dashboard also makes problems visible early.

One page instead of five logins

A property management company checked Google Ads, Meta, its website analytics and its CRM separately each month. A single dashboard showing leads, cost per lead and signed contracts by channel made the monthly review take minutes and showed which channel to cut.

Common mistakes

  • Tracking vanity numbers

Likes and impressions alone don't pay bills. Lead with leads, sales and cost.

  • No targets or comparisons

A number without context is hard to judge. Show change over time and against goals.

  • Broken data connections

Dashboards fail quietly when a connection breaks. Check data sources regularly.
